When I first heard of it, I was like "Really?" but trust me when you try this, am sure you ll not stop yourself until you empty the vessel!!
Ingredients:
Papaya - 1cupSugar - 1/2 cup or even less with papaya is very sweet.
Milk - 1 tbscp
Cashew nuts and raisins - As required
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Method:
- Grind papaya into fine paste.
- Heat 1tsp ghee and roast cashew nuts and raisins untill golden brown. Keep them aside.
- Add ground papaya to the same pan and let it boil untill the raw smell is off.
- Now add sugar and keep stirring by adding 1 tsp of ghee every 2min.
- Once the halwa starts leaving the ghee, take it out of the stove and out add nuts. Mix well and serve hot ! :)
